Weymouth Angling Society Open Festivals
Weymouth Angling Society have organised the summer angling festivals since 1956 and for many years in conjunction with Weymouth and Portland Borough Council. These Sea Angling Festivals are open competitions for both boat and shore anglers. This annual competition has always been extremely popular and boat anglers who wish to use one of the local charter fleet are advised to book early. Indeed some away anglers pencil in next years place on a boat at the end of this years competition.

September 1st, Weymouth Angling Society Open Shore Festival 4pm-10pm.
September 2nd, Weymouth and Portland Borough Shore Festival 4pm-10pm.
September 8th, Weymouth Angling Society Boat Festival.
September 9th & 10th, Weymouth and Portland Borough Boat Festival.
Temporary club membership is included for the above Festival competitions only.
Small boat definition: A small boat is one of up to 6mtrs/20ft in overall length. There is no maximum engine size.
A brochure containing all Festival dates, times, rules, the societies minimum size list, a specimen points list and entry form will be available at the club.
The Presentation of festival prizes and a Civic reception is held at the Society’s H.Q. on completion of the last day of the Borough Boat Comp.
